Kurzfragebogen zur Erfassung der Studienzufriedenheit
Short abstract
The questionnaire is used to assess student satisfaction. The theoretical basis is the Person-Environment-Fit-Theory, Maslows (1954) Hierarchy of Needs and the Job Characteristics Theory by Hackman and Lawler (1971). The short form contains a total of nine items, which are assigned to three scales of three items each: (1) Satisfaction with the study contents , (2) Satisfaction with the study conditions, (3) Satisfaction with coping with the study loads . Reliability: Cronbach's alpha was between .71 and .91. Validity: There were significant differences with regard to satisfaction with the courses, the study conditions and with coping with the study burdens. Results of a regression analytical evaluation showed that for all three aspects of study satisfaction a high proportion of variance was clarified by the fit values both with regard to Maslow's need categories and with regard to the task characteristics postulated on the basis of the job characteristics theory. For the satisfaction with the study contents, the need for self-realization was proven to be relevant, for the satisfaction with the study conditions, task weightiness and feedback from the teachers were proven to be significant, and for the satisfaction with coping with the study load, the characteristic in the area "orientation and fears" was relevant.
